Part Time / Full Time Deputy Nursery Manager
Smisby Day Nursery, a stand alone Director led nursery, prides itself on our home from home and family oriented setting set in the rural countryside on the outskirts of Ashby de la Zouch. Quality of care and a safe environment that is stimulating and meets the needs of the children is key to the setting whilst implementing all the components and elements of the EYFS curriculum.
We have a wonderful opportunity and challenge for someone new to join out team, working either 3 or 4 full days a week depending on your experience and skills.
Are you an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager who is looking for a change?
Are you a Senior Room Leader with a number of years of experience who thinks they can step up to a Deputy Manager’s role and help Beverley, who has 11 years of experience at the Nursery, to lead a competent and well qualified team?
You already know what the job is because you have probably done it before.
Are you a passionate person about childcare?
Do you have the skills to help lead a team of 28 staff working in both the Nursery and Out of School Club?
Are you a positive person and excited by the new challenge this offers you?
You must have a minimum of a level 3 in childcare or preferably a Foundation Degree or a full Degree in Early years.
We need someone who can help to lead a diverse and competent team alongside the Manager and our other Deputy and to liaise closely with other professionals to ensure we meet the needs of each and every child. You will have overall responsibility for helping with the effective daily management of the nursery. You will know Ofsted requirements and procedures, have a sound knowledge of all our nursery policies and then ensure that these are implemented professionally at all times.
Staff only work a maximum of 4 days a week as we believe in a work life balance that is crucial to all our well-being. From the moment you walk through the door at the Nursery you become a part of our family. Our staff have 215 years of service at the nursery and 9 of those staff have been here for more than 10 years each.
