Part Time Nursery Officer / Assistant (3 days per week) - starting ASAP.

Because we have a member of staff leaving us to follow a new career we have a vacancy for a Part Time Nursery Nurse working in our busy Toddler Room for 3 days a week, from 08:00 to 18:00 on Wednesday and Thursday and 07:30 to 18:00 on a Friday, (27.5 hours). This job is available for an immediate start and you will be working as part of a competent team with over 200 years of experience at the Nursery between them.

This role does depend on whether you hold a level 3 in childcare or not. If you have a level 3, or above, you will be a Nursery Nurse. If you are unqualified or hold a level 2 in childcare you will be a Nursery Assistant.

Key Responsibilities

• Support, motivate and develop a small team of nursery practitioners
• Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
• Maintain a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for children
• Work collaboratively with the senior leadership team and parents/carers

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a qualified Nursery Officer / Early Years Practitioner
• Experience working with children aged 18 months to 2.5 years preferred
• Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding practices
• Positive, caring and proactive approach
• Strong communication and organisational skills

Working Hours
Part-time – 3 days per week:

• Wednesday and Thursday: 08:00 – 18:00pm
• Friday: 07:30 – 18:00
