Full Time or Part Time Senior Nursery Officer / Room Leader

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Nursery Officer / Room Leader to lead our Preschool Room. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a warm, supportive and long-established nursery team.

Following the recent departure of our Head of Preschool, you will take the lead in our Preschool Room, supporting children aged 2.5 – 5 years and guiding a dedicated team of practitioners. You will also work closely with our experienced senior leadership team, led by our Nursery Manager.

Key responsibilities:

Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the Preschool Room
Support and develop a small team of nursery practitioners
Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with EYFS
Ensure a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children
Work collaboratively with the senior leadership team

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years’ experience as a qualified Nursery Officer / Early Years Practitioner
Previous experience as a Room Leader or in a senior role (preferred)
Experience working with children aged 2.5–5 years (preferred)
Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding practices
A positive, caring and proactive approach

Working hours:

Part-time: 3.5 or 4 days per week
Shifts between 08:00–18:00
Occasional early starts at 07:15 (rota basis)
