I started working at Smisby Day Nursery in 2016. I started in the Baby Room which is where I found my love for the job, I've also worked a short spell in the Toddler Room before going back to the Baby Room and taking over as Senior Nursery Officer.

I absolutely love being the Senior of the baby room, one of my favourite things about the role is meeting new parents and their buddles of joy on their first day. I love working with the children and all the staff.

The Nursery is definitely a home from home environment and my second family.

When starting at the nursery I was unqualified, as this was a complete career change for me. I have since done my level 3 qualification and I feel I made the right choice in my carer change, and wouldn't want any other job. I am looking forward to many more years working at Smisby Day Nursery with the children and staff.
