Hello, I’m Claire and I joined the nursery in June 2019.

I have a degree in Art and Design and I have just completed a Level 3 course in Childcare whilst working 3 days a week in the baby room.

Working in early years childcare was a complete change of career for me as I’d previously worked in retail management for several years, but I found that the hours I was working didn’t fit in with family life and I was looking for a change of direction.

My own daughter attended both toddlers and pre school at the nursery. Now at school, she also attends Smizkids pre and after school club, so I already knew how good the nursery and staff were.

I really enjoy working in the baby room, each day is different and we have so many little characters that make me smile every day! Helping the children with their learning journey and watching them grow is a real privilege.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my own family, often out walking and visiting new places.
